What is Psychology?

The word psychology is derived from the Greek word psyche, literally meaning 'life' or 'breath.' Derived meanings of the word include 'soul' or 'self.'

 

Psychology is the study of mind and behavior of humans. In generally, psychology means, how we feel, how we think and how we behave.

It is a systematic approach to the understanding of people and their behaviour, if it is considered as science. And it is the application of the understanding of human behaviour to help solve human problems, if it is considered as a profession.
