During his two day-stay on November 17-18, Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Richard Stengel will meet government officials, civil society leaders, educators and students, business leaders and entrepreneurs and representatives of the media, the State Department.

On November 17, he will participate in the US-India Higher Education Dialogue (HED), an annual bilateral event that identifies areas for exchange and strategies for partnership in the field of education.

The dialogue provides a platform for intense collaboration among members of academia, the private sector, and government. On November 18, the Under Secretary will participate in the India-US Technology Summit.

This is India's 20th annual Technology Summit and the first time that the United States has participated as a partner country; the State Department said.

The summit will convene representatives of several hundred Indian and US companies, as well as senior leaders from industry, government, and academia to build partnerships and encourage bilateral trade and investment, it added.
