The Telangana Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has cancelled the Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) board examinations due to outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country.
Telangana SSC Exams 2020 Cancelled
Telangana CMO tweeted, "10th grade students should be promoted to upper class based on the marks obtained in the Internal Assessment Examination conducted in schools. Degree and PG examinations are being decided by the government based on future circumstances."
It also tweeted, "CM held a high-level meeting on the next decision regarding postponed exams. The methods adopted by various states across the country were examined. There was a long debate on what to do in Telangana. The process to be followed in Telangana was finalized."

Earlier, the High Court of Telangana ordered that the Class 10 board exams cannot be held in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) due to the increase of cases. The Telangana SSC Class 10 exams scheduled from June 8 to July 5 were postponed. Check TS Class 10 (SSC) time table 2020.
Telangana SSC Exams Posptoned After High Court Order
The Government has decided to postpone TS SSC Exams 2020 after the High Court order. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao made the decision to defer the exams. Mr Rao stated that the conducting the exams in some areas and postponing in others would increase the confusion and lead to uncertainty. The government had decided to conduct the exams simultaneously across the state.
Students who are aspiring for the board examinations are advised to visit the official website to track the latest updates. Earlier, the Board has postponed SSC board exams 2020 scheduled between March 31 and April 6, 2020. The new schedule will be available after analysing the situation.
Earlier, the board exams were scheduled to be conducted from March 23 to 30, 2020. The dates were deferred till March 31, 2020. The exams were postponed due to a PIL filed by an in the court of Telangana. The Court has asked the Board to postpone all the exams till March 31. The SSC exams have further been deferred due to nationwide lockdown because of Coronavirus which has claimed over 30 lives and infected over 1200 persons across the country.
