NEST 2021 Postponed Due To COVID-19, Revised Exam Date Soon

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) has postponed the NEST 2021 exam in view of the Coronavirus pandemic. Institute has deferred the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) exam scheduled on June 14. The official sources suggest that the revised NEST 2021 exam date will be released soon. It has also extended the last date to apply online for the NEST 2021 exam. Interested candidates who have not yet registered for the NEST 2021 exam can register online till July 15, 2021. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the official portal for the latest updates.

NEST 2021 Postponed Due To COVID-19

The official notice reads, "NEST 2021 has been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course of time. After reviewing the status of the COVID-19 pandemic and related uncertainties it has been decided to postpone NEST 2021. A new date will be announced with sufficient advance notice. Candidates can continue to apply online till 15th July, 2021."

The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is an entrance examination conducted for admission to the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai's Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS). The entrance exam is conducted for admission to the 200 and 57 seats at NISER and UM-DAE CEBS, respectively.

NEST is a computer-based test that consists of five sections of objective type questions. There is no negative marking in the general section. The duration of the exam is three hours.
