However, Maharashtra Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray had assured students that the new date for the exam will be announced on Friday. The Chief Minister said that the students need not worry about the age criteria as it won't be a barrier for them. Last year, the MPSC preliminary examination was scheduled to be conducted in April 2020, but continuously delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exams have been postponed for the fifth time since last year due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak.
