The General Education Department, Kerala has postponed the Higher Secondary and Vocational Practical examinations due to increasing COVID-19 cases across the state. The Kerala Plus Two practical exams 2021 were scheduled from April 28 stands deferred till further notice. The new dates of the Kerala Class 12 practical examination will be announced soon. The Department has conducted the Kerala Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary theory exams till today, i.e., April 26, 2021. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the official website to check the revised Kerala Plus Two practical dates 2021.
Earlier, Teachers' organisations had urged the government to reconsider the practical examinations scheduled from April 28 in the wake of the COVID pandemic. It mentioned that the sharing of equipment such as pipettes, burettes, microscope and others is not safe for students during this pandemic. The Department has decided to defer the exam practical exams after a team of examiners visited multiple schools regarding Class 12 practical exams. The Human Rights Commission of Kerala had also taken the Plus Two practical exams as a suo motu case and asked the exam authority for a detailed report.
Many state education departments have cancelled the Class 10 board exams and deferred the Class 12 exams due to increasing COVID-19 cases in the country.
