Candidates from the previous batch who had registered for the JEE Advanced 2020 exam but had missed it have been allowed to sit in this year's IIT entrance exam, JEE advanced 2021.
According to the information brochure released by IIT Kharagpur on September 3, candidates who successfully enrolled for JEE (Advanced) 2020 but couldn't appear in both the papers, i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2, of JEE (Advanced) 2020 are eligible to sit for JEE (Advanced) 2021.
"Furthermore, these applicants will be regarded in addition to, rather than as part of, the total number of candidates who will qualify for JEE (Advanced) 2021 from JEE (Main) 2021. The information brochure states, "This is a one-time measure valid only for JEE (Advanced) 2021."
These candidates will need to reapply for JEE Advanced 2021. On September 11, the registration for JEE Advanced 2021 will commence.
The JEE Advanced 2021 exam is set to take place on October 3rd.
Candidates are currently waiting for the JEE Main 2021 answer key, which is the screening test for JEE advanced.
