The pioneer in publishing the World University Rankings, Times Higher Education, has released the Global University Employability Ranking 2018. The Times has revealed the universities in the world that the recruiters at top companies think are the best at preparing students for the workplace.
A total of 250 universities from 41 countries were featured in the Global University Employability Ranking 2018. Harvard University from the United States topped the list. It is followed by the California Institute of Technology and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The University of Cambridge from the United Kingdom and Stanford University from the US takes the fourth and fifth rankings, respectively.
While coming to India's share in the Global University Employability Ranking, a total of four Indian universities featured. Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore topped from India. IIT Delhi has improved 92 places to reach the 53 rank. All the universities improved their rankings except IIT Bombay.

According to the Times Higher Education, Employers voted for institutions both in their own country and around the world, if they recruit internationally. In some countries, graduate jobs are not easy to come by, but in European countries such as France, Switzerland and Germany, professional experience is built into degree programmes.
It also added that France, Germany and China are among the best represented countries in the employability ranking, along with the United Kingdom and the United States. Both Germany and Japan have an institution in the top 10, with Chinese and Canadian universities also appearing high in the ranking.
