The percentage of women qualifying for the IIMs has decreased. It seems like another setback as the IIMs had recently organised the drive to set up gender diversity in admissions.

The admissions of women students to IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow and IIM Kozhikode has dropped by 31% for the academic session 2015-17, compared to the statistics last year.

Women students in IIM Ahmedabad is a mere 32% in comparison to last year's 46%. IIM Kozhikode is now only left with 25.4% women.
