The CBSE has postponed the CTET July 2020 session exam. The Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET), which is conducted twice a year in December and July, has been postponed due to the inappropriate conditions caused by the Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic. The 14th edition of CTET (July session) scheduled on July 5, 2020.
Union Human Resource Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said CTET July session 2020 postponed by CBSE for the time being. The next date of examination will be announced if conditions are favourable.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also released an official notice regarding the postponement for CTET July 2020 exam. It mentioned that the new exam date will be updated soon on the official site.
The notice reads, "The next date of examination will be intimated when situation is more conducive for the conduct of examinations. All the candidates registered for CTET July 2020 are hereby informed that for any update they may visit CTET website www.ctet.nic.in regularly."
Earlier, CBSE has informed the Supreme Court that Class 10 and Class 12 pending papers or subjects were cancelled and decided to promote the students based on the internal assessment. CISCE would be following the CBSE regarding the remaining papers.
CTET is conducted twice a year for teaching positions from class 1 to 8 in central government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalaya, Central Tibetan Schools and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya besides schools under the administrative control of the Union Territories.
