The Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has postponed the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 exam scheduled on June 13 due to the surge of COVID-19 cases across the country. It has also decided to extend the last date for submission of the online application form. Candidates who have not yet registered for CLAT 2021 exam can apply online till June 15, 2021. The Consortium has also released an important notice regarding the CLAT 2021 exam. Check the details below.

The official notice reads, "The Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities met on May 15, 2021. After reviewing the surge of COVID-19 pandemic in the country and keeping in view of health and safety of all stakeholders of CLAT, the Committee resolved that the CLAT-2021 scheduled to be held on June 13, 2021 stands postponed."
It also reads, "New date of the Test will be notified in due course. Further, the last date for submission of online application has been extended to June 15, 2021. The candidates who desire to appear in CLAT-2021 are advised to keep visiting the website: https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/"

The exam authority is likely to release the CLAT 2021 schedule at least two weeks before the exam date. One who submits the CLAT applications successfully will be allowed to download the admit card available on the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Every year, the Consortium of NLUs conduct the CLAT entrance exam once a year for admission to 21 prominent National Law Universities across India besides other private universities in the country. Candidates who stand out in the CLAT exam can seek admission in 3-year/5-year Integrated LLB and LLM programmes.
