CISCE ISC Syllabus And ICSE Syllabus Reduced For Board Exams 2022

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has reduced the syllabus for ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) for the academic year 2022. The Council has taken this decision after considering the disruption in the educational activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It has reduced CISCE syllabus 2022 to both ISC and ICSE for English and Indian languages. On July 9, CISCE has modified syllabi for the ICSE and ISC subjects. for the examination 2022. The Council has asked schools to follow the revised syllabus. Students can access the revised CISCE syllabus 2022 on the official portal.

CISCE Reduces ICSE And ISC Syllabus 2022

The CISCE has reduced the ICSE and ISC syllabus for the academic year 2022. It has reduced the syllabus for English and Indian Languages at the ICSE (Class 10th) and ISC (Class 12th) levels. It has also released the list of modified subjects for the examination year 2022.

"CISCE has initiated the process of syllabus review for various subjects at the ICSE and ISC levels specifically for Classes 10 and 12, for the Examination Year 2022, to identify portions of the syllabus which may be reduced, without compromising on the quality of content," said Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE.

The CISCE is also putting its best foot forward to carry out syllabus reduction in several other subjects of the ICSE and ISC. The revised CISCE ISC syllabus 2022 and ICSE syllabus 2022 will be reduced in consultation with its subject experts. The revised CISCE academic syllabus 2021-2022 will be made available on the official portal soon.

It also reads, "In the eventuality of the need for further reduction in the syllabus, it is imperative that the concerned subject teachers transact the syllabus strictly according to the sequence of topics given in the syllabus. This will ensure that all CISCE affiliated schools are broadly teaching the same topics at any given point of time as well as facilitate subsequent reduction in syllabus, if required."

Earlier, CISCE has decided to cancel the Indian School Certificate (ISC) or Class 12th and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) or Class 10th board exams 2021 scheduled in May in view of the Coronavirus crisis. It has released the alternative assessment criteria to prompt students to the next grade. The official sources suggest that the results will be declared by July 31.
