The Bombay High Court has released a notification inviting applications from eligible Indian nationals for appointment as Law Clerks on a contractual basis at the principal bench of the Bombay Hight Court and its benches at Nagpur and Aurangabad, respectively, the applications towards which must be submitted in a prescribed format before 23 January 2019.

The recruitment is for 54 vacancies to the post of Law Clerks for a period of 1 year. Interested candidates seeking application must have attained 21 years of age and not exceeded 30 years as on the date of his/her recommendation by the respective Presidents of the Bar Associations or the Principal of the concerned Law College.

Educational Credentials And Requirements
Candidates seeking application to the post of Law Clerks must possess a Law Degree with at least 55% marks or must hold a Post-graduation degree in Law (Preference will be accorded to the later) and must have a working knowledge of computers and case law software.
Selection And Pay
The selection of candidates as law clerks will be based on a personal interview at the High Court of Bombay following their recommendation by the respective Presidents of the Bar Associations or the Principals of the concerned Law Colleges as detailed in the notification.
Candidates selected as law clerks will be a paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000/-.
Where To Submit
The duly filled applications in a prescribed format along with the self-attested copies of documents must be submitted/sent through Speed Post/Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due (R.P.A.D.)/By Hand or Courier by 23rd January 2019.
The envelope containing the application must be superscribed as "Application for Appointment of Law Clerk" and addressed to the Registrar (Personnel), High Court, Appellate Side, Bombay, 5th floor, New Mantralaya Building, G.T. Hospital Compound, L.T. Marg, Mumbai-400001.
