All About AYUSH National Eligibility Test 2018

The CCRAS has released the notification for AYUSH-National Eligibility Test 2018. The exam will be conducted on November 13, 2018.

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) on behalf of all Research Councils is conducting the examination for AYUSH-National Eligibility Test, 2018 on November 13. The online registration for the AYUSH-NET exam will begin on September 20. Candidates can apply online through official website of ayush.gov.in.

This national eligibility test is conducted for the award of Ph.D. fellowship (SRF) in respective AYUSH streams i.e. Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy. The award of Ph.D. fellowship (SRF) to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission/ placement in a university/ national laboratory/ institution of higher learning and research in the field of concerned AYUSH streams. The test will be held at 5 Centres at Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Guwahati.

Candidates who hold MD/ MS in any AYUSH stream or graduation with 5 years of experience are eligible for this exam. The upper age limit for applying for the award of Fellowship is 32 years for SRF as on September 1, 2019. However, age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer).

The single paper MCQ based test will be held on November 13, 2018. The exam consists of two parts namely, part-I (aptitude section) and part-II (subject specific section). The total number of questions are 120 and each carries one mark. 0.25 mark will be deducted for negative marking.

The question paper shall be divided into two sections as per syllabus and PhD fellowship scheme. The part-I (aptitude section) comprises of 30 questions. It touches upon the areas such as general science and research aptitude. It also contains questions pertaining to general aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation and research methodology. Candidates have to pay INR 1000 as the examination fee. Candidates belonging to OBC have to pay INR 500. However, candidates belonging to SC or ST category have to pay INR 250 as examination fee.

Candidates have to visit the official website of AYUSH NET - http://ayush.gov.in/ayush-net-2018 to apply online. The online application link will be operational on September 20, 2018. Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number to apply for the AYUSH-NET examination.
