Delhi University Released The 10th Cut-off

Delhi University has released the 10th cut-off for an admission to the undergraduate courses. The admission process will begin on August 27, 2018. The 10th cut-off has been released for admitting the candidates belonging to reserved categories such as scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), other backward class (OBC) and persons with disability (PwD).

 

Interested candidates who meet the necessary prerequisites have to visit the respective colleges to complete the admission formalities on August 27. Most of the top colleges under the Delhi University have closed the admission process. However, the 10th cut-off was released only for reserved category candidates.

Delhi University Announced 10th Cut-off

Delhi University Released The 9th Cut-off

Delhi University has released the ninth cut-off for an admission to the undergraduate courses. The admission process will begin on August 21, 2018. Some colleges have announced that the seats are available for general and reserved category students.

Ramjas College opened admissions for BA (Hons) in political science and economics. The seats are available in Kirori Mal College for BA (Hons) in English, Hindi and political science besides BSc (Hons) in botany and physics. The Daulat Ram College also opened the gates for an admission to BSc in life science, BA (Hons) in Hindi and BCom (Hons) courses.

The seats are also available in the colleges such as Deshbandhu College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Acharya Narendra Dev College and Gargi College for courses in humanities and science.

Delhi University 8th Cut-off - Special Drive Admissions 2018

Delhi University has released the eighth cut-off for an admission to the undergraduate courses though many colleges have closed their gates for the admission process. The university has titled the 8th cut-off as the 'Special Drive Admission 2018'. The University of Delhi has released the cut-off list only for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwD, Kashmiri Migrant (KM) and Sikh Minority (SM) categories.

Candidates who aim for an admission can visit the respective colleges on August 13, 2018. One has to complete their admission formalities in the colleges within the stipulated time. Here is the 8th cut-off list for science and arts & commerce.

Delhi University 7th Cut-off Released

Delhi University has released the seventh cut-off list for an admission to undergraduate courses. The cut-off list was released for the available seats in the science and commerce streams.

Candidates belonging to the general category can apply for BA (Hons) in economics in the Daulat Ram College, Kamla Nehru College, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce and Aryabhatta College. The general candidates can even apply for BA (Hons) in English in Aryabhatta College besides other courses such as BA (Hons) in political science.

Candidates belonging to the general category can also apply for BA (Hons) in Sanskrit and sociology in Bharati College. While coming to Acharya Narendra Dev College, seats are available for BA (Hons) in botany and chemistry. The general category students can apply for BSc (Hons) in mathematics in Daulat Ram College and BSc (Hons) in computer science at Dyal Singh College.

Delhi University has opened the admission process with the release of the first cut-off in the month of June. The academic session started last month. According to the sources, over 2.78 lakh candidates have made payments for an admission.

Delhi University Sixth Cut-off Released

The University of Delhi has released the sixth cut-off list for an admission to undergraduate (UG) courses on July 17, 2018. The sixth cut-off was released for various programmes such as B.A, B.Com and B.Sc. The list is prepared based on merit. Candidates who have secured marks above the cut-off need to visit the respective colleges for the document verification and other procedures.

The affiliated colleges of DU have also released the cut-off list for an admission to the courses. According to the sources, many seats are still vacant in Gargi College for various courses such as B.Com and B.A in English. The cut-off list for B.A (Hons) in English is 93.75 for general candidates in Gargi College. The cut-off list for B.A (Hons) in economics and philosophy are 95.75 and 86.5, respectively.

Sri Aurobindo College under the University of Delhi has also released the sixth admission list. Except for B.A (Hons) in English, the admissions are closed for general category students. The admission will be done from July 18 to 20, 2018. Many other colleges such as Swami Shraddhanand College and P.G.D.A.V Evening College have also released the sixth admission list.

Delhi University Fifth Cut-off Released

The fifth cut-off list was released by the University of Delhi for an admission to various undergraduate courses for the academic year 2018-19. The final cut-off list has been released based on the merit. The admission approval and document verification for the fifth cut-off list will take place between July 12 and 14, 2018.

The eligible candidates who meet the requirements of the fifth cut-off are advised to visit the concerned college or institution to complete their admission process. Delhi University released the fourth cut-off on July 5.

According to the sources, over 50,000 seats are filled out around 56,000 seats after the fourth cut-off was released. Out of the total of 10,000 seats in the BA programme, over 8,000 seats have been filled. The number of seats filled in for the BCom (Hons) programme is 5,085 out of the total of 6,273 seats.

The fifth cut-off will be the final one according to the schedule of the University of Delhi. The university may release one more cut-off depending on the number of vacancies.

Delhi University Released The Third Cut-off

The University of Delhi has released the third cut-off lists for admissions to undergraduate courses. The list was released based on merit. According to the sources, over 25,000 seats have been filled after the first and second cut-offs. The document verification and admission approval procedures for the 3rd cut-off list will be held between June 30 and July 3, 2018.

The third cut-off is a relief to students who failed to meet the earlier two cut-offs. This 3rd cut-off will be calculated based on the "best of four" formula, which means the highest marks in any four subjects will be considered. The colleges affiliated to Delhi University have also published their own cut-off lists for each of the programs.

DU Third Cut-off Updates

The top colleges under the Delhi University which have closed the admissions in the second list have released separate cut-offs and have opened the gates for an admission again in the third list. The Hindu College has released the cut-off for English (Hons) at 96.25% and candidates who have 97% can get an admission at Ramjas College in BA (Hons) Economics.

The popular college under DU, Miranda House, has also released the third list for economics and English aspirants with a drop of 0.25%. The admission is open to English (Hons) at 95% in Kirori Mal College. This is a 1% less compared to the previous list.

There is no change in the cut-off for the Lady Shri Ram College for Women in English (Hons). However, it reopened the admissions to the economics course. The Gargi College has also reopened admissions to various courses such as political science, chemistry and zoology.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College has also opened admissions to BCom, BSc (Hons) and BA (Hons) to general category students. The Jesus and Mary College has released the third cut-off for BCom (Hons) at 96.25%.

According to the official announcement, the admission will be held until the fourth cut-offs, which will be released on July 6, 2018. Over 25,000 seats have been filled with the second cut-off list.

Delhi University Released The Second Cut-off

The prestigious Delhi University has released the second cut-off list for admissions to various undergraduate courses based on merit for the academic year 2018-19. Candidates can visit the links below to access the minimum cut-off percentage. They are also suggested to visit the respective colleges on June 25 with regard to variation in cut-off percentage.

Candidates who are eligible are advised to visit the college to complete their admission formalities. Qualified students can take admission till June 27 between 9.30 am and 1.30 pm. One has to carry the original documents along with photostat copies for an admission. Failing to produce the required document will lead to cancellation of the current admission, but students will be considered for an admission in the future rounds.

Second Cut-off Updates

The popular college under the Delhi University, Shri Ram College of Commerce, has released the second cut-off. Candidates from the general category need 97.375% for BCom (Hons) and 98.25% in BA (Hons) in economics.

According to the sources, popular colleges such as Ramjas College admitted 810 students and Gargi College for Women admitted 769 students. The Hindu College admitted 946 students and 630 students were admitted by Miranda House.

Some popular colleges such as Hans Raj, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Swami Shraddhanand College, Kalindi College and Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (Evening) witnessed a dip in the cut-off percentage.

Delhi University Sports Quota Trials

The sports quota trials conducted by Delhi University are going on for a total of 39 games. The admission is scheduled between June 22 and 29, 2018. And every college has to admit at least 5 percent of the students through the sports and extracurricular activities (ECA) quota. Over 1,700 seats are reserved for sports quota in all colleges.

According to the sources, the first list of selected candidates for sports quota will be released on July 9. The university has also mentioned that the state-level participation certificates will not be accepted for an admission. However, candidates who secured a position in the state-level competition will be accepted. A total of 16 marks were awarded for candidates who secured the first position. And 14 and 12 marks for the second and third positions respectively.

The colleges will give 60 and 40 percent weightage to the sports trials and certificates respectively. One has to get a minimum of 30 marks in the trials. Students who have participated in international games with the country symbol will get a direct admission.

DU Entrance Exam

  • The Delhi University entrance exam will be computer based.
  • The written examination will be conducted for BSc in PE, HE & Sports.
  • Duration of the exam will be two hours.
  • The exam will be multiple-choice based questions.
  • Questions paper will be in both English and Hindi language.
  • Syllabus for the examination will be based on the class 12.
  • The class 10 syllabus is enough for taking the entrance exam for Bachelor of Elementary Education.
  • The total number of questions and marks are 100 and 400 respectively.
  • One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

DU Joint Admission Test

To pursue UG courses such as BA (Hons.) Business Economics, BMS and BBA, students have to appear for the DU Joint Admission Test (DU JAT). The test will be conducted in the online mode and duration of the exam will be two hours. The examination consists of five subjects, namely quantitative ability, reasoning and analytical ability, general English, business and general awareness. The total number of questions and marks are 100 and 400 respectively. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. However, no marks will be awarded for questions not answered.

DU Admit Card Released For Exams On 17 & 18

Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate (UG) courses in Delhi University (DU) can download their admit cards through the official website. Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) Exam On June 19

The prestigious Delhi University is all set to conduct the B.El.Ed. entrance exam on June 19 for 405 seats. This four-year integrated professional degree is available at eight colleges and is only offered to women. The exam will be of multiple-choice question (MCQ) format and questions will be based on science, social science, mathematics, Hindi and English.

Delhi University Cutoff 2018

The Delhi University will announce seven cut-offs for the 2018 admissions. Candidates who aim for an admission at DU or any other colleges under the university must meet the cut-off requirement. Top Preferred Courses In Delhi University

English and political science are the most preferred courses by students at the Delhi University. According to the sources, around 2.8 lakh candidates applied for the undergraduate courses, out of which more than 1.23 lakh opted English as their preferred course. And more than one lakh candidates chose the political science program.

The economics and history are the other courses that attracted students and more than 90,000 applications arrived. While coming to the BCom and BCom (Honors), over 80,000 applications were received.

The number of applications to the vocational courses such as tourism, HRM, applied psychology and philosophy are very low. The admission process is all set to kick-start with the 1st cut-off on June 19, 2018.

Delhi University 1st Cut-off Released

Delhi University has released its first cut-off list for the merit-based undergraduate courses and candidates witnessed a drop in the minimum required marks as compared to last year. The highest cut-off in 2017 was 99.66 per cent for BSc (Hons) in electronics in SGTB Khalsa College. The BA programme in Lady Shri Ram College has earned the highest cut-off this year with 98.75 per cent. The Delhi College of Arts and Commerce has 98.50 per cent cut-off for BA (Hons) in journalism. And LSR College has a 98.25 per cent cut-off for BA (Hons) in psychology.

The admission under the first cut-off list ended today at 1 pm for regular colleges and 7 pm for evening colleges. Some popular colleges, such as Lady Shri Ram (LSR) and Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), are not expected to announce a second cut-off list for some of their courses as they have already over-admitted students.

Compared to the first day, the second day of the admissions went smoothly and colleges admitted over 3,000 students. This was higher than the first day's total admissions. Delhi University's 2nd cut-off announcement will be on June 25, 2018.
