The University of Delhi (DU), which proudly stands as one of the premier universities in the country, is popular for its high academic standards, diverse educational programmes and illustrious alumni besides modern infrastructure. The DU, which was established in 1922, conducts entrance examinations for admission to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The entrance exam will be conducted for an admission to undergraduate courses. Students who want to appear for the entrance exam have to apply online through common application form. The last date to apply online for the undergraduate courses is June 7, 2018. The entrance examinations for various courses will kick-start from June 17, 2018. However, the classes will commence from July 20, 2018.

DU Entrance Exam
- The Delhi University entrance exam will be computer based.
- The written examination will be conducted for BSc in PE, HE & Sports.
- Duration of the exam will be two hours.
- The exam will be multiple-choice based questions.
- Questions paper will be in both English and Hindi language.
- Syllabus for the examination will be based on the class 12.
- The class 10 syllabus is enough for taking the entrance exam for Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- The total number of questions and marks are 100 and 400 respectively.
- One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
DU Joint Admission Test
To pursue UG courses such as BA (Hons.) Business Economics, BMS and BBA, students have to appear for the DU Joint Admission Test (DU JAT). The test will be conducted in the online mode and duration of the exam will be two hours. The examination consists of five subjects, namely quantitative ability, reasoning and analytical ability, general English, business and general awareness. The total number of questions and marks are 100 and 400 respectively. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. However, no marks will be awarded for questions not answered.
DU Admit Card Released For Exams On 17 & 18
Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate (UG) courses in Delhi University (DU) can download their admit cards through the official website. Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) Exam On June 19
The prestigious Delhi University is all set to conduct the B.El.Ed. entrance exam on June 19 for 405 seats. This four-year integrated professional degree is available at eight colleges and is only offered to women. The exam will be of multiple-choice question (MCQ) format and questions will be based on science, social science, mathematics, Hindi and English.

Delhi University Cutoff 2018
The Delhi University will announce seven cut-offs for the 2018 admissions. Candidates who aim for an admission at DU or any other colleges under the university must meet the cut-off requirement. The cut-offs will be calculated on the basis of the best-of-four formula. This means, the highest marks in any four subjects will be considered. The first cut-offs will be announced on June 19, 2018.

Top Preferred Courses In Delhi University
English and political science are the most preferred courses by students at the Delhi University. According to the sources, around 2.8 lakh candidates applied for the undergraduate courses, out of which more than 1.23 lakh opted English as their preferred course. And more than one lakh candidates chose the political science program.
The economics and history are the other courses that attracted students and more than 90,000 applications arrived. While coming to the BCom and BCom (Honors), over 80,000 applications were received.
The number of applications to the vocational courses such as tourism, HRM, applied psychology and philosophy are very low. The admission process is all set to kick-start with the 1st cut-off on June 19, 2018.
