Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam was born in India on October 15, 1931. He is called as India's lifelong scientist, for his prominent role in India's 1998 nuclear weapons tests, after which he became a national hero.

In 2002, he was elected as India's 11th President. He was located at Rameswaram, in Tamil Nadu.
