Stick To Your Study Schedule
The competitive examination such as SSC CGL requires constructive preparations. Most of the aspirants might have prepared a study schedule based on the revised syllabus for the tier-I round. Be focused and always try to achieve your daily targets. If you fail to achieve the target of the respective day, it will increase your stress on the next day. Hence, it's always suggested to follow the study schedule.
Online Mock Tests
The SSC CGL Tier-I & II rounds will be computer-based examinations. Acquainting yourself with the online examination is suggested. The duration of the tier-I round is one hour and aspirants have to answer 100 multiple-choice questions. Taking the online exam is entirely different from the offline preparations. Aspirants are suggested to practise the online mock tests regularly.
Opt Previous Years' Question Papers
Solving the previous years' question papers will make you understand the weightage of topics. The previous years' question papers also provide the key information related to the important topics in the sections. Hence, daily practising of past question papers is suggested.
Keep Yourself Updated
The current affairs topic in the general awareness section is one of the best ways to score more. Devote considerable time to read about the current affairs and trending topics. With this activity, one can reduce the preparation time for the general awareness section. This will also be useful for the general studies in the tier-II round. While reading about the current affairs daily, make a note of the highlights.
Increase The Reading Speed
The English language is important and scoring in both tier-I & II rounds. Compared to the tier-I round, the tier-II English section will be very difficult and one has to answer 200 questions. Increase your reading skills to score well in this section. Reading the newspapers or editorial columns will help you to increase your speed besides your awareness about the current affairs.
Revisit The Concepts
We always suggest aspirants to opt for section-wise preparations and it doesn't mean ignoring the section until the revision time. Always revisit the mastered concepts and practise them regularly. With regular practise, one will also gain the command over the subjects.
Keep Visiting The Important Topics
Learning the important topics at the initial stages of their preparations will always provide better results. While solving the previous years' question papers, you will understand the important topics in the four sections of the tier-I round. Devote some time daily to prepare and revise these topics which will help you earn a good score.
These are some of the practises an aspirant has to follow daily to crack the SSC CGL Tier-I round. Though there is no sectional cut-off in the SSC CGL Tier-I round, candidates are advised to focus more on their strong areas.
