Over the years, AIMA has not changed the MAT exam eligibility criteria. This year also eligibility criteria are the same for MAT 2019 May exam.
Candidates appearing for the exam should have completed graduation from the recognised university with the score of minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the qualifying exam.
If the candidates appearing for the final year graduation exam is also eligible to apply for MAT.
A candidate must have completed 21 years of age while appearing for the exam and there is no age limit to write the exam.
Foreign nationals appearing for the MAT exam should have a valid passport in addition to a student visa.
A candidate is also required to fulfil all the qualification requirements before he/she appears for the exam.
If a candidate completing their final graduation exam may also apply for MAT exam. But, if a candidate has shortlisted by the B-school on the basis of MAT exam score, such candidate will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if she/he submits a certificate from the Principal/ Registrar of the College/Institute stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.
