What is CMAT Exam?

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level computer-based entrance examination, which is conducted for admission to management programmes in colleges approved by AICTE across the country.

As per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, CMAT was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) till 2018. From 2019 onwards, the exam is going to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

It is a is a three-hour computer-based online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate's ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.

AICTE in its mission to reduce the burden of students in attending to multiple examinations has launched the first national level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) in the year 2012 for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programs approved by AICTE. 

CMAT 2020: (Tentative)

The CMAT 2020 score will be accepted by all AICTE Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges. Almost in 13 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka among others accept CMAT exam scores along with CAT for admission to 400+ B schools in their MBA programmes.

The government has officially notified CMAT as their official test. In addition, many B-schools offering AICTE approved PGDM programs will be using the CMAT 2020 scores.

The CMAT 2019 registration is likely to start from November 01, 2019, to December 7, 2019, as announced by the NTA. The exam is going to be held on January 28, 2019 (Tentative).

NTA will conduct the CMAT 2020 exam instead of AICTE. CMAT 2020 registration and application process remains online and can be completed in a few minutes.

From November 01, 2019, to November 30, 2019, (Up to 5:00 PM)

For General/OBC Candidates - INR 1400/-
For SC/ST/PwD Candidates - INR 700/-

CMAT 2020 Exam Centres:

A candidate has to choose up to three cities based on their preference for choosing the exam centres of CMAT 2020. The CMAT 2020 centre will be allowed based on the availability.

About National Testing Agency (NTA):

NTA has been established as a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organisation to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions.

NTA is the newly formed body by the centre to conduct JEE Main, GPAT, NEET UG, UGC NET, and CMAT entrance exams through online mode from 2019 onwards.

CMAT Result 2020

The organising body of the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for releasing the result. The Agency will be released the CMAT 2020 result on February 2020. The results were released in the form of merit rank which displays the roll number, rank and the score of all the test takers.

NTA released the result of each candidate who appeared for the examination on January 28, 2020. Candidates will find section-wise and overall scores in the result. Candidates can submit their login credentials to check their CMAT result. The scores have been calculated by assigning +4 marks for the correct answer and -1 mark for an incorrect answer. However, 0 mark was assigned for no answer. 

Aspirants have to know how CMAT ranks will be assigned. If more than one candidate secures similar scores, the sectional scores will be considered for ranking. If the candidates secure the same rank, then the same rank will be allotted to them based on the alphabetical order. NTA has also released the merit list based on the scores.

The most important candidates have to know is the admission authorities or institutes are free to take their decision during admission. They can give weightage to a particular section based on their requirement.

Steps To Check CMAT Result

Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA-CMAT – www.ntacmat.nic.in 

Step 2: Click on the exam result link on the homepage.

Step 3: Enter the login credentials.

Step 4: Submit the details to access the result.

Step 5: Download and take a printout of the result for future reference.

NTA Released CMAT 2019 Result

The National Testing Agency has released the CMAT 2019 examination result. Candidates who have appeared for the examination conducted on January 28 can visit the official website to check their result. 

A total of 54,516 candidates appeared for the examination out of 64,582. The National Merit Ranking (All India Rank) has been arrived at based on the marks secured against total marks. In case the total marks are the same for more than one candidate, then the rankings will be based on the sectional score. 

The merit list indicates roll number, rank, NTA score and the marks obtained of all the candidates. The CMAT 2019 scorecard is valid only for the academic year 2019-20. Candidates have to note that the admission authorities and institutions are free to take their decision during admission.

CMAT Answer Key 2019 Released: Know How To Challenge

The organising body, National Testing Agency (NTA), has released the answer key for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2019 examination. Candidates who have appeared for the examination on January 28 can visit the official website to check the answer key. 

NTA has also provided an option to challenge the answer key. Candidates need to pay INR 1000 as fee for challenging each question. The payment should be made only through the online method. The testing agency will refund the amount if the challenge is correct.

CMAT Admit Cards 2019 Released On NTA Website

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) admit card 2019. Candidates who have registered for the management entrance examination can visit the official website to download the CMAT admit card 2019. NTA has also released the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) admit cards along with CMAT admit card.  

Candidates need to use their login credentials to download the CMAT admit card 2019. The CMAT admit card will be available online on the NTA's website till the exam date, i.e., January 28, 2019.

The CMAT is a computer-based test conducted in a single session to test the candidate's ability in quantitative technique, logical reasoning, language comprehension and general awareness. The total duration of the exam is three hours. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, however, one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Last Date Extended To Apply Online For CMAT 2019

National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date to apply online for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). According to the sources, the last date to apply online for the CMAT is December 7, 2018. Interested candidates who have not yet started their registration process for the CMAT are advised to check the revised dates. 

In order to apply for CMAT, candidates should possess a minimum 50% marks in any graduation discipline. It is 45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories. The final year students of graduate courses can also apply for CMAT 2019. Candidates should visit the official website of NTA to apply online for the CMAT. CMAT 2019: Apply Online Before November 30

The online registration process has started for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), which is a national level entrance examination for entry into management programmes. Candidates can apply for this computer-based online test till November 30, 2018. 

National Testing Agency (NTA), the organising body of CMAT, has released the information bulletin which is available on the official website. Candidates can access this information bulletin to identify the changes that have taken place this year.

 A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline to apply for CMAT. Candidates in final year of bachelor’s degree whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for the academic year 2019-20 are also eligible to apply for CMAT 2019. The CMAT written test comprises of sections such as logical reasoning, general awareness, language comprehension and quantitative techniques. Read more about the CMAT exam pattern here. 

CMAT will be conducted on January 28, 2019, across the country in two shifts. After qualifying the written test, candidates need to appear for selection procedure of that particular institute which may comprise of group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI).
