Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu has released the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2020 on August 18. This year, Atal Ranking was virtual due to the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic. Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' and Union Minister of State for Education Sanjay Shamro Dhotre graced the event. The sources suggest that ARIIA 2020 had a special prize category for women only higher educational institutions. The ARIIA Ranking 2020 was released in six prize categories. What Is ARIIA Ranking 2020?
The Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) is an initiative of the HRD Ministry, implemented by AICTE and MHRD's Innovation Cell. The Atal Ranking is prepared to rank higher educational institutions and universities across the country based on indicators related to Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development amongst students and faculties.
