IGNOU Convocation 2020: Check IGNOU 33rd Convocation Date

IGNOU, which is believed to be the largest Open University in the world, is all set to host its 33rd convocation. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) convocation will be conducted in Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, IGNOU Campus on February 17, 2020. The main event of IGNOU convocation 2020 will be held in the capital city New Delhi. The convocation will be held at more than 45 other regional centres spread across the country. Minister of Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal "Nishank" will be the chief guest of IGNOU 33rd convocation 2020.

Candidates who have completed their programmes between December 2018 and June 2019 are eligible for award of original certificate at the IGNOU convocation 2020. One who qualifies for the degree or diploma from the university should deposit Rs 600 to get the certificate. The registration for IGNOU convocation held until February 5.

The official IGNOU convocation website reads, "Certificate/PG Certificate Programme and DPE students are not required to register and pay the requisite fee. Their certificates will be sent by post, after the convocation."

IGNOU 32nd convocation was held in April 2019. Vice-President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu, was the chief guest.

IGNOU is likely to award more than 2 lakh degrees, diplomas and certificate in the convocation. Gold medals are also likely to be awarded in the convocation.
