Being a teacher, you have a great deal of responsibility bestowed on your shoulders. A large number of young minds depend on you for knowledge. Sure, teaching the things from regular textbooks etc is the traditional way of making students learn what they require to know to pass the exams. But what about the knowledge they will need in the long run? This would require you to teach them things additionally. But learning whole day long with no fun, is something that the children will not like.

So, here are 6 excellent ways to teach students at any day's time:

1) Educational movies:
Children love watching a good animated movie. So why not incorporate the educating part into the same? You can either play one of the many educational movies available to the students or animate one yourself, make use of one of the applications listed here.

2) Play the part:
Another great way to teach things in a fun way, is to organise a play, in which the students can play the parts that teach something to them. For instance, a story based on days of week, wherein each student can represent a day. Or they could even be a famous leader etc from the chapters from history book.

3) Go out on a field trip:
Leaving the classroom to learn is something every student would like. A bit of a change in the regular mode of learning, can make them learn more effectively than they would otherwise. Take the students out to places that have educational value. Teach them outside the classroom for a change.

4) Have them discuss:
Bring up a topic that the children can voice their opinion about. Help them discuss the topic making use of maximum number of nouns, adjectives, verbs etc. This activity not only allows them to learn their English, it also helps them in knowing their potential and shaping themselves up as good leaders. After all, the one who can come up with most appropriate things to say in a discussion will certainly become a good speaker, engaging people to listen to him/her.

5) Tell a story and inculcate reading:
There is no easier way to leave an impression in the young minds than narrating a good story. Pick a story that educates students about the important issues in life, or even simple things like colours or shapes, be it anything that you want the children to know. Narrate it, ask them to read their favourite stories to the class, it will help them develop their vocabulary.

6) Let them play:
Think of games that can help them learn. Like for example, bingo with words, numbers, history, geography etc. Play treasure hunt, wherein they will be able to get the clue if they solve a math problem, or identify the missing word in the sentence, etc. It is a great way of learning with loads of fun!
