The Higher Education system in India is a mixture of several stark, and some contradictory, realities.
Research was conducted top draw up a list of 170 universities eligible for the survey. The parameters for which each university is judged were then drawn up after consultation with academics and experts from across India.
The parameters include university reputation, quality of academic input, faculty, research strengths, student care, infrastructure, innovation, admission procedure, placement record.
The mindset over private universities needs to change. In our rankings this year, five private universities feature in the top 30. All the institutions have been in existence for many years and are steadily rising in the rankings.
