Celebrate Your Children On Children's Day

Tips to Make Your Children Happy on Children's Day

By Malavikka

Apart from celebrating the birth anniversary of Former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on 14 November as children's day, the day has much deeper meaning and reason to celebrate. More than teachers, parents should celebrate their children on this special occassion. Why? Because your kids so earnestly celebrate you on mother's and father's days and it is unfair to let go of your children when given a chance to celebrate them.

Tips to Make Your Children Happy On Children's Day

First of all wish them loud and shout out your love. Pick from the set of ideas below and get started!

Tell Your Tales

Allocate a separate time for your kids and talk to them. Tell them the importance of childhood and how to nurture it. Shoot your mischevious childhood memories and give them ideas to make theirs memorable too. Children love listening to stories! Get mushy about the bond you share with them. Let them know that they are the best children with world's most loving and bubbly parents.

Be Their Santa

Buy that game CD your boy has been requesting for long or get that ostentatious dress your girl is eyeing for. Any long time request, when given unexpectantly on a special occassion multiplies its value to let the receiver know how thoughtful you are. Now, when it is your child, he/she is going to be over the moon to see their parents celebrating them on a day other than their birthday.

Knowledge Is Wealth

Do you wish to see your child as an astranaut in years from now? Stop dreaming for them and let them build their own dreams. Enrol them in a class that they love to go to. It may be swimming, music, dance, sports or magic tricks classes. When they love doing something that amuses them, it is the best time to get them learning it.

Outdoor Is Fun Door

A surprise trip to the zoo or a park can change the mundane routine into a brand new exciting day. Take them out to a place they have not seen before. Let them explore the unknown and increase their General Knowledge.

Time Is Precious

Introduce into their lives the games that you cherrished in your childhood. Monopoly, ludo, trade, snake and ladder, chess, cards and carrom are some of the indoor games that can keep your child engrossed as well as draw them closer to you. Be the first best friends and win their trust. Let them know that you genuinely enjoy being their pal. Your physical presence is the best intangible gift you can give them.

Cook Their Cookie

Home made cookies and chocolates will be the icing on your love cake, as your child might not have expected it coming up. Take a simple recipe and add their favourite flavour to it. Their day cannot conclude any better!

The objective of these activities is to keep your children happy and let them know the importance of being a child. So, customise the agenda according to their personalities and let them have fun with learning about children's day. So stay excited and spread the vibe!
