IIITDM Kancheepuram offers fellowship for Ph.D programmes

Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIIT-DM), Kancheepuram has invited applications for Ph.D Assistantship for students pursuing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme in Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Scholarships are offered for the session January 2016.

Scholarship Details:

Candidate should have completed post graduate degree in basic science with NET/GATE qualification or graduate degree in professional course with NET/GATE qualification or post graduate degree in professional courses Rs.25,000/- 1st & 2nd Year
Upon successful assessment by the review committee after period of two years scholarship would be offered Rs.28,000/ ( 3rd to 5th year)

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates with post graduate degree in basic science with NET/GATE qualification or graduate degree in professional course with NET/GATE qualification or post graduate degree in professional courses can apply.
Candidates admitted to the Ph.D. programme are eligible for the assistantship under the following regulations:
The scholars should work for 8 hours per week to earn this assistantship.
Renewal of assistantship every semester will be contingent on enrolment, satisfactory progress in research work and good performance during the preceding semester in the discharge of responsibility as teaching / research assistant.
