UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, presents an online course on screenwriting. This course will provide an in depth knowledge about the theory and craft of professional Screen Writing.
This course gives an advantage to the candidate, he doesn't have to attend critical studies seminars and related electives that are required to obtain a degree. This one year certificate course, guides the students to start and complete two original feature length screenplays.
Online screenwriting workshop
One of the most important elements of this programme is a three hour writing workshop, closely modeled after the MFA program's "434" screenwriting class. The workshop is designed by former MFA screenwriting Chair Lew Hunter and current Co-Chair Richard Walter. This workshop includes intensive analysis of each student's work, led by an instructor who is a professional screenwriter.
- In order to participate in the professional program in screenwriting online, a student needs to have all these equipments:
- High-Speed Internet Access
- Internet Browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari
- (no Internet Explorer)
- Microphone w/Attached Headset
Note for international students:
If any student is a non-native English speaker, he should need to keep in mind that this programme is intensive and all work must be submitted in English. A sufficient command of the English language is necessary to participate in this screen writing courses.
Applicants who would like to withdraw from any of the courses, must do so in writing. Students may send a fax to (310) 206-7099 or simply email Program Representative Brian Fagan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
