IIT-K conducts conference on Fibre Optics

Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is all set to conduct the 12th international conference on Fibre Optics and Photonics from December 13 -16, 2014.

Prof. Philip St.J. Russell from the Max-Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Erlangen, Germany will be the keynote speaker who will address the participants on Gas, Glass and Light: Scientific applications of micro-structured optical fibre.

The main themes of this conference are:
(i) Fibre and Guided wave photonics
(ii) Lasers and non-linear optics
(iii) Nanophotonics, plasmonics and metamaterials
(iv) Quantum optic, information and processing
(v) Optical communication and networks
(vi) Bio-photonics
(vii) Photonic Materials and Devices.

IIT-K invites papers from academicians, scientists, professionals, engineers and industrialists specialising in Fibre Optics, Photonics and Optoelectronic technologies.

  • Abstract and Summary Submissions Due: 20 August 2014, 12:00 EDT
  • Authors Notified of Committee Decisions: 26 September 2014
