Emergency Medical Technician certificate course

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, invites applications for admission to Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate course, commencing in 2014.

 

The candidates who had completed 10+2 with science or vocational stream with MLT/nursing and are aged between 17 and 25 years as on December 31, 2014 are eligible for the course, said a concerned release from the institute.

About the course:
This course offers training to provide early care as Para-Medicals for Trauma and Non-Trauma emergencies. Students will be trained in the various resuscitation and other interventions by the Faculty of Anesthesiology, Surgery, Orthopedics, Medicine, Pediatrics and Nursing Sciences with practical classes.

  • Duration: 12 months
  • Fee: Rs 130/- (one time)
  • Stipend: Rs 300/- per month for 12 months will be paid to the students based on attendance.
  • Internship: After completion of the course, optional internship for 12 months is offered to the students and Rs 3,713/- stipend per month will be paid.
