IndiaCollegeSearch.com will award scholarships worth Rs. 50,000/- to students and alumni of Indian colleges. The participants will receive their award if their college review makes it to the top as the most popular review online.
This innovative initiative will aid students to explain how their Alma Mater helped them in shaping their career. Further, it will also provide aspirants an access to first-hand information, based on which they can decide whether they would like to study at that college or not.
The students or alumnus can upload their review and by winning the award they will be able to take care of their education needs.
IndiaCollegeSearch.com (ICS), India's biggest college search and application platform, undertook a poll which revealed that peer feedback or ‘word-of-mouth' is a chief factor which the aspirants consider while choosing a college. This scholarship programme will aid ICS to convert these findings into reality by introducing a reservoir of reliable data based on first-hand experiences.
Going a step further from the traditional college brochures and websites, the reviewers on ICS will be able to personalise their college's position by giving creative titles like "Geek Planet" or "Paradise of Placements" etc. Further they will be able to rate their teachers, college food and hostel facilities and also share information on what the prospective students should expect after they join the college via a realistic portrayal.
Anirudh Motwani, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, IndiaCollegeSearch.com said "IndiaCollegeSearch.com has always focused on providing the best possible information to help college aspirants choose the right college. Past experiences of other students who have studied at the institute are invaluable. As a platform, we aim at providing accurate information on faculty, infrastructure, placements and fees but only those who have studied there can give an insight into day to day life on that campus."
