The results of the Engineering Services Examination 2016 finals have been released by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Candidates can view the results in the UPSC official website through the list of all the selected candidates. The final exams were held in May and the interview sessions were held in September-November. The results are based on both the written examination as well as the interview round.
The recommended number of candidates for the civil engineering posts are 225, selected on the basis of the written test. The numbers selected for mechanical is 179, electrical is 106 and for electronics and telecommunication engineering, it is 94.
Around 604 candidates have cleared the Engineering Services exam of 2016. However, there are 676 vacancies. The appointments shall be made according to ranks and vacancies available, a statement from UPSC said.
How to view the UPSC Engineering Services result 2016:
- Visit upsc.gov.in
- On the right hand side of the page under the "What's New" section, the notification titled "Final Result: Engineering Services Examinations 2016" will be scrolling.Click on the notification.
- A new page will open. Here, click on the link displaying "(62 KB)" which is the file size of the result PDF file.
- A PDF file will open. Check your name and rank as well as other details regarding the selected candidates and the vacancies.
- Save a copy of the PDF file to your computer for future reference. Take a print of the relevant information if necessary.
