University topper, makes her father proud

S. Ramesh Babu shares with all his friends, the good news he just received. He says,"My second daughter Sangeeta Ramesh secured First Rank in the M.A Sanskrit - Tarka Shastra (Vidwat -Uthama) examination of the Karnataka Samskrit University for the year 2013-14."

He also adds with a proud heart, that his daughter has secured distinction scoring 94, 90, 85, 85 and 66 in the five papers, with an average of 84 %. With this, she has now earned the title VIDUSHI.

Sangeeta studied Vidwat (Tarka Shastra) which is a a rigorous 5 years course at the Chamaraja Sanskrit College, Bangalore affiliated to the Karnataka Samskrit University, mainly under the tutelage of Vidwan Matadacharya. Tarka Shastra is considered the toughest of the 10 shastras.

She will receive a Gold Medal instituted in the name of the Pejavar Seer Vidya Theertha Swamiji, who is an acknowledged exponent of Tarka Shastra, during the University Convocation, added Sangeeta's father.

Sangeetha is not only well versed in academics, she also is a very talented painter (National level Gold Medalist) and other arts & crafts work, and writes poems in English, Kannada and Sanskrit.

S. Ramesh Babu quotes, "Sangeeta is by nature very kind and humane and she very strictly follows all orthodox religious practices in her daily life including food, clothing, prayers."

Sangeeta plans to to pursue Ph.D in Sanskrit (Tarka Shastra).
