University of Mumbai postpones degree examinations

476 exams are affected by the general elections this year as the University of Mumbai released fresh dates for these examinations. Around 226 exams in Arts, 166 in Science, 68 in Commerce and 16 in Technology have been postponed.

Bachelor of Arts final year degree exam at Mumbai University will begin from 20th March, 2014 and end on 20th May, 2014.

Earlier, these examinations were scheduled to be held on 16th April, 2014, which now will be conducted on 19th April, 2014. Those which were scheduled for 17th April, 2014 will be conducted on 26th April, 2014. The exams which were to be conducted on 23rd April, 2014 will be held on 3rd May, 2014. The examinations which were held on 24th April are postponed to 10th May, 2014.

The exams falling on dates of the elections in Mumbai ie., 24th April, 2014 and Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg on 17th April, 2014 were affected. The exams falling on the day before the polls were also shifted for concocting the institutes which will be acting as the polling centres.
