UCD announces first UCD Global Centre in India

New Delhi, November 27, 2014: University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland's Global University, is delighted to announce the launch and opening of the UCD Global Centre in Gurgaon.

The development of this new UCD Global Centre follows the successful establishment of Centres in New York, Beijing and Kuala Lumpar. It allows UCD the opportunity to engage in a range of activities that will contribute to an ambitious and comprehensive new Global Engagement Strategy for UCD, which will be launched in 2015.

Based in Gurgaon, the UCD Global Centre will greatly enhance UCD's valuable existing relationships with high schools, partner institutions, agents, students and parents and contribute greatly to expanding new links and relationships in India. It will provide a base for the development of a network of productive and sustainable partnerships, along with increasing awareness of the opportunities that UCD can offer in India.

Over time the objectives of the Centre will broaden; forging broader collaborations in education and supporting UCD students in their mobility to study and undertake work placements in the region; supporting the development of new research collaborations and networks; identifying and leveraging new sources of collaborative research funding, and communicating the impact of research at UCD, globally and in the region to further expansion of strategic partnerships in region; developing innovation and enterprise links; and giving us better opportunity to connect with alumni.
