UKIERI, NIT-Trichy declare Management Capacity Development programme

NIT-Trichy is leading a UKIERI project on Management Capacity Development of SMEs in collaboration with BHEL-Trichy, BHELSIA, IIM-Trichy, Brunel University, UK and Uxbridge College, UK.

About the programme:
The Management Capacity Development programme (MCDP), conducted as part of the project, focuses on comprehensive management capacity development of SMEs in the Manufacturing / Fabrication sector. The programme is designed based on the training need analysis workshops conducted in Trichy and Chennai in December 2012. The programme will be delivered by faculty of NIT - Trichy, IIM-Trichy, Brunel University and Uxbridge College.


  • Technology Management and Business Strategy
  • Accounting and Financial Management
  • Human Resource Development and Legal Systems
  • International Marketing and Business Development
  • Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management
  • Quality and Information Technology

The programme is also proposed to choose one or two SME owner/ manager for a visit to UK for gaining firsthand experience of UK SME in the manufacturing sector.

The MCDP is being organized with support from UKIERI. There is no course fee. However, Rs.3000/- per participant will be charged towards course material.

Interested SMEs are requested to send their nominations (Name, Qualification, Organisation, Experience, Contact Details, etc) along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 3000/- drawn in favour of The Director, NIT-Trichy.

Important dates:
The last date of receipt of nominations is January 22, 2014

The programme will take place from 24th to 25th January, 2014 & 31st January, 2014- 2nd February, 2014 .
