UGC offers Post Doctoral Fellowship for SC / ST Candidates

University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi invites applications for the award of 100 Fellowships under the scheme of "Post Doctoral Fellowship for Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Candidates" for the year 2013-2014.

The objective of the scheme is to provide an opportunity to SC / ST candidates to undertake advanced studies and research in Science, Engineering & Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences in Indian Universities / Institutions / Colleges on full time basis.

Selection will be made on the basis of merit through Interface Mode by an expert committee constituted especially for the purpose. The guidelines of the scheme, detailed terms and conditions of the fellowship, eligibility etc. may be seen by logging on the UGC website at (www.ugc.ac.in ).

UGC has recently revised the rate of fellowship, contingency & tenure under the scheme of Post Doctoral Fellowship for SC / ST candidates .

The applications in the prescribed format may be submitted only through online mode latest by 21th February, 2014 (non extendable) by logging on to the website. On-line submission can be done from the date of uploading of the detailed advertisement.

The decision of the Commission with regard to selection of candidates for the award of fellowships shall be final.

Please Note:

Applications submitted through online mode shall only be entertained and therefore no application submitted in hard copy shall be entertained or considered for award of Fellowship in any circumstances whatsoever.
Candidates already selected under the scheme for the year 2011-12 & 2012-13 whose result are available on the UGC website, need not apply.
