The The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced the results of the National Eligibility Test (NET) which was held on June 29, 2014.
As many as 3,683 candidates have cleared Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) while number of candidates who got eligibility for Assistant Professor is 21,249.

The National Eligibility Test is the qualifying exam for the recruitment of candidates for the post of JRF (Junior Research Fellows) and Assistant Professors respectively. The candidates who have passed the NET will be eligible for the post of Lectureship whereas candidates with distinction marks shall be considered for the JRF.
