American College Dublin (ACD) is named the 5th leading study abroad destination. ACD declared that the "first true social news organisation"- BuzzFeed had ranked the campus the 5th leading worldwide "Study Abroad" destination.
Noted by BuzzFeed was the fact that ACD is located in the center of Dublin, in the median of historic Merrion Square and close to theaters, galleries and museums. ADC they noted, "understand that studying in Ireland is not just about the classes; it is also about experiencing the culture of Dublin and Ireland."
Abroad101 ranked American College Dublin's academic programme as the 7th leading study abroad programme across the world in 2012.
American College Dublin is an integral college of Irish American University. It is fully recognised by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. ACD is licensed as an institution of higher education in the State of Delaware and the Republic of Ireland. It offers an excellent post-secondary education at the bachelor's and master's degree levels in creative writing, liberal arts, performing arts, international business, finance and accounting, hospitality and event management. In 1993 it was established as a not-for-profit educational trust by Lynn University. The college has progressed from being a small study abrod programme restricted to students of America to a global institution with 35 various nationalities comprising its student body today. American College Delaware, ADC's sister campus, is based in Lewes, Delaware and provides shared programmes and transfer opportunities between Ireland and the United States.
