Telangana colleges to increase fee for MBBS seats

The Telangana government has decided to increase the fee structure for the MBBS seats under management quota in non-minority and minority private medical colleges across the state for the year 2014-15.

 

On August 25, the government had issued an order to all the medical colleges situated in Telangana region. The government also retained the fee structure for the seats under the government / convenor quota.

However, the Andhra Pradesh government has not passed any orders.

According to the new orders, the fee for the 25% of C1 category of management quota seats has been increased from 5.5 lakh to 9 lakh.

Similarly, the fee for the 15% of C2 category of NRI quota seats under management quota has been increased from 5.5 lakh to 11 lakh.

For minority colleges, the fee for 25% of B1 category seats has been increased from 6 lakh to 9 lakh. The fee for 15% of B2 category seats (NRI quota) has been increased from 6 lakh to 12 lakh.

The fee for the MBBS seats under government quota remain unchanged.

What is categories:

  • C1 category: Candidates who seek general merit seats under management quota
  • C2 category: Candidates who seek NRI seats under management quota
  • B1 category: Candidates who have written entrance test and applied for seats under management quota
  • B2 category: Candidates who have written entrance test and applied for NRI seats under management quota
