RPMT 2014 re-test on July 25

Supreme Court has directed Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) to conduct the Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) again on July 25.

SC also directs state government to release the notification in RUHS website on re-scheduling the examination and report back to the SC. According to SC, RPMT 2014 results will be announced on Aug 2.

Earlier, SC had received writ petitions from the state HC. There were reports that, HC had identified some irregularities on the examination, such as, different question papers in different batches, incorrect questions equivalent percentile system of RUHS to equate the incorrect questions, etc.

The HC had passed an order to re-conduct RPMT test authorised by the SC.

RUHS had conducted RPMT online examination from May 28 to 30. The results were declared on June 5 for 44,000 students.

Students who weren't able to clear the examination, filed writ petition at the state HC, question the system followed by the RUHS. After that, HC had nullified the RPMT results.
RPMT 2014 is the qualifying entrance examination which is conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS courses.

RPMT 2014 would be conducted to fill the 85% of seats in government medical / dental colleges of Rajasthan and 85% of seats in private colleges, as per the rules and regulations by RUHS and the government of Rajasthan.
