Ahmadabad: Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has set up stringent exam rules for the examinations which will begin from 19th May onwards. These strict guidelines have come up in order to avoid paper leak incidents.
Centres which have no CCTV cameras installed will be banned from conducting examinations, as decided by the GTU. A college without CCTV cameras will not be a centre said the GTU.
The downloading and printing process of the question papers must be done under the supervision of senior staff members of the concerned college. The coordinator will receive a password to unlock the question paper over his/her mobile phone. Using this, the question papers have to be accessed and printed with several senior staff members on board. This entire process must be videographed as instructed by the GTU.
No other staff member will be permitted to carry their mobile phone apart from the coordinator. Both the supervisor and the invigilator will not be permitted to carry their mobile phones.
Any student who goes out of the examination hall must declare his/her seat number along with the time he/she leaves and returns back in a logbook, as declared by the university. This is a mandatory process.
The University does not want to take chances with the question paper being circulated over the social media.
