Geeta Bhukkal, education minister of Haryana, during a visit to Jhajjar on Sunday said that Rashtriya Ucchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), will be instigated to elevate higher education in India. She said that the resources to universities, colleges and other educational institutions at higher level on the criterion of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan will be provided by the union ministry of human resource development.
Bhukkal said that she would take part in the conference for education ministers of all states in India,to discuss about the groundwork to being the RUSA. This conference would be held in Bengaluru, and the conference would be inaugurated by MM Pallam Raju, union human resource development minister.
Praising Bhupinder Singh Hooda, chief minister of Haryana, Bhukkal said that efforts to promote higher education were made by him. New colleges were opened with new courses and increased number of seats.
"Protesting teachers' every demand will be considered and discussed." she said regarding the school teachers' rejection of evaluation of answer sheets. She also added that meetings regarding the demands have been held often, however, there were some issues that are pending with department of finance.
