Jaipur, April 30: Rajasthan government will commence pre-school education in Aanganawadi centers across the state under 'Early Childhood Care and Education' programme which will benefit nearly 1.06 crore children of below 6 years of age.
The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. "The government will start pre-school education in 61,000 Aanganwadi centers in the state.
The scheme will be run by the department of women and child development and a council and a monitoring committee will also be set up," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore told reporters here after the meeting.
