Students of SPJIMR get international immersion

The students of 2015-17 batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)at the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research Mumbai (SPJIMR Mumbai) will get the international immersion opportunity.

The PGDM programme at the SPJIMR is a 2 year full-rime residential programme and is equivalent to MBA.

The international immersion initiative enables PGDM participants to travel to some of the most reputed B-schools around the world, to gain hands on experience in their area of specialisation. The batch of 2014-2016 is the first PGDM batch from which all the participants will go for an international immersion, which is now formally called the Global Fast Track (GFT).

Through this programme, students are given advanced inputs with advanced coursework and a series of industry visits. The course contains an interesting mix of case studies, simulations and/or role-plays.

This programme will offer the opportunity of international exposure to all the participants of the 2015-17 batch. Participants can visit top institutes such as Krannert School of Management, Purdue University, Johnson School of Management, Cornell University, McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin, Eli Broad College of Business, Michigan State University, etc.

Students pursuing PGDM in different specialisation of PGDM go to different B-Schools depending upon the area in which that particular school is noted for.

For these students, GFT is a required 3-week long programme carrying credits similar autumn internship. The programme is designed to help students find placements as well.
