NTRUHS to conduct web counselling for PG medical seats

Online web counselling for admissions to PG (degree and diploma) medical courses in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State, will be conducted after the certificate verification of eligible candidates.

Certification verification is scheduled to be held from April 22 to 24, 2016 and April 24 to 26, 2016 respectively, said university registrar G Anuradha.

Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) will  be conducting the web counselling.

Counselling starts from April 23, 2016

Candidate's can choose their options for the courses from April 23 to 26, 2016 for Andhra Pradesh colleges and for Telangana colleges the date is scheduled from April 25 to 28.

The candidates will be intimated through SMS on April 27, 2016 for AP candidates and April 29, 2016 for Telangana candidates on the allotment of seats. "Selected candidates have to join the colleges allotted to them by May 2," Anuradha said.

2,587 PG seats are available in government and private medical colleges

Speaking to TOI, T Ravi Raju, university's vice-chancellor, Visakhapatnam said about 2,587 PG seats are available in the government and private medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, out of which 1,905 are in the convenor's quota and 682 in private medical colleges.

"In the convenor's quota, the number of seats for in-service candidates is 699 and the rest are in non-service category. Admissions into Siddhartha Medical College in Vijayawada would be done on state-wide basis and the 61 seats will be distributed in 42:36:22 ratio among the AU, OU and SVU areas," he told.
