From the the next academic year, the government of Kerala has decided not to conduct separte entrance test by the state for admissions into medical and other professional courses except engineering. Thereafter, NEET scores will be considered for admissions into to all medical agricultural, AYUSH, veterinary science programmes.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), conducted by CBSE was made mandatory for admissions into medical courses by the Union Government last year.
Therefore, from the next academic year, except for engineering courses, separate entrance examination will not be held for professional courses like medical, agricultural, veterinary science, fisheries, forestry and NEET ranklist will be applicable for admission to these courses, a government press release said.

About NEET
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national level entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The examination is a qualification for admissions into undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses in the country.
The NEET UG examination will be for admissions into MBBS, BDS, and others medical programmes. The NEET entrance examination will be to test your knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The syllabus of this examination will mainly comprise your Class 11 and Class 12 syllabi.
