More than 200 students take part in the Ireland Education fair

Enterprise Ireland conducted an education fair for students, which began on 8th February, 2014 in Chennai and travelled to Bangalore on 9th, followed by Pune on 15th and ended in Delhi on 16th. Making their presence felt in the fair were Dublin Business School, Cork Institute of Technology, Dublin Institute of Technology, Dublin City University, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, Dundalk Institute of Technology, Limerick Institute of Technology, National University of Ireland Maynooth, National University of Ireland Galway, Trinity College Dublin, University College Cork, Smurfit Business School, University College Dublin, Waterford Institute of Technology and University of Limerick. Over 200 students took part in the Ireland Education fair. They were able to clear all their doubts pertaining to the admissions, internships, courses, placements, visa and those related to higher education chapter (conducted in Chennai).

2 new scholarships for Indian students announced:

The fair also brought good news to Indian students aspiring to study in Ireland as 2 new government scholarship schemes were declared. A full tuition waiver plus a stipend of €10,000, which is approximately 8 lakh, to cover a year's living expenses is being offered by National University of Ireland. The scholarships are mainly aimed at students of software engineering and informatics, bioinnovation and bioengineering, medical device manufacturing. This scheme would start when the courses being in September 2014.

A similar scholarship is being offered by Athlone Institute of Technology. Those students who wish to study postgraduate programmes including the master of science in food and drug toxicology beginning in September, can apply for this scholarship.
