MCI approves 50 additional MBBS seats for Osmania Medical College

50 more MBBS seats for Osmania Medical College

The Board of the Governors of the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi, has approved the 50 additional MBBS seats for Osmania Medical College, Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Earlier, medical college demanded the 50 seats to MCI.

Presently, medical college have now 250 MBBS seats, earlier it was 200 MBBS seats.

According to the Dr Putta Srinivas, Principal of Osmania Medical College, MCI had sanctioned the 50 additional seats to the college.

Osmania Medical College was established in 1846 and is one of the oldest medical educational institutes in the world. Located in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, the college is presently affiliated to NTR University of Health Sciences, while it was previously affiliated to the Osmania University of Hyderabad. The college is also recognised by Medical Council of India.
