Manipal University invites applications for its scholarship programmes

Applications are invited for scholarship courses

Manipal University, Jaipur, invites applications for its various scholarship programmes for the academic year 2014. The university offers scholarship programmes with the objective of encouraging meritorious students and academic excellence. Students can apply online by visiting the official website of the university.

Programmes offered:

  • TMA Pai engineering scholarships
  • TMA Pai excellence scholarships for non-engineering students
  • Merit scholarships for non-engineering students
  • Rajasthan merit scholarship

TMA Pai engineering scholarships:

These scholarships are designed in line with MIT scholarships, given that students come through the same entrance examination. They will be merit-cum-means scholarships with a cap of 2 seats for each stream, restricted to the top 2000 ranks in MU Engineering entrance examination only.

TMA Pai excellence scholarships for non-engineering students:

  • Scholarships available will be displayed at the time of common counselling.
  • One seat in each programme, with 100% waiver on total course fees, will be given to the student with highest marks, in excess of 94% in the qualifying exam.
  • One seat in each programme, with 50% waiver on total course fees, will be given to students with highest marks, in excess of 84% in the qualifying exam.
  • The scholarships would be given to the students with highest percentage of marks in each salary bracket after commencement of classes.

Merit scholarships for non-engineering students:

  • Three scholarships of 25% of total course fees will be given to students with the highest marks in the joining batch, with marks in excess of 75% in 10+2 or equivalent qualifying exam.
  • The scholarships would be given to the students with highest percentage marks after commencement of classes.
  • To continue to get the scholarship a student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above, failing which the scholarship for the next year will be withdrawn.

Rajasthan merit scholarship:

  • Given to students from Rajasthan School Board, with more than 80% marks in 10+2.
  • The scholarships would be given to the students with highest percentage marks after commencement of classes.
  • The maximum scholarship given to each student would be capped to the first year fees of the course joined, or Rs. 1 lakh, whichever is lower.
  • To continue to get the scholarship, a student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above, failing which the scholarship for the next year will be withdrawn.
