King's College London, has opened its gate for the talented Indian students. The college has put forth an offer to provide scholarship to 12 Indian students. The British Government has also supported this great gesture by the college.
The government declared that it will sponsor all expenses paid scholarship to 12 Indian students who want to study in the prestigious College of the country.
The scholarship, Chevening Gurukul Scholarships for Leadership and Excellence, is considered to be the one of the premium most scholarships offered by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
UK's FCO, explaining on this scholarship scheme, spell the beans that this scholarship will offered for a 12 week course to 12 selected Indian students. Applications for the same are invited till 24th January 2014.
He further added "This 12 week course, open only for Indian passport holders will start from September end 2014 and run till December mid 2014. The Chevening Gurukul Programme is planned keeping in mind mid-career and high-flying young professionals with at least five years of work experience. The professionals applying for this scholarship need to be from diverse backgrounds with strong and demonstrable leadership potential."
This scheme provides a solid and a firm platform to Indian students who want to pursue their higher education in UK.
The Government of Britain has introduced this half yearly programme on the recommendation of the Ministry of Indian HRD (Human Resource Development) Department. HRD ministry, on the other hand, is also working on giving recognition to the one year management courses offered in UK.
